Steven Smith was pulled over for improper turn signal. Officers found four bags of marijuana in the console of the vehicle and were charged with possession with intent to distribute. Smith was also charged with DUI. The passenger, Stewart James was also charged with public intox after the officer observed 6 out of 6 of the possible indicators of intoxication during the N. Nystagmus test.
Police were called about a woman who ran off the road (Sooner Avenue) and when someone asked if she needed help Tawny Johnson reportedly pulled a knife out and held it to her own throat. When police arrived Tawny was slumped over the steering wheel with the knife still in hand. She woke up enough to be uncooperative on the way to jail.

Motel manager reported finding a pistol under the mattress in the room where shots fired was reported the night before. The officer determined the weapon was an air-soft pistol.

Deanna Dreadfulwater selected some Flea & Tick Medicine at WalMart. Not having paid for it she handed it to Christopher Houston who then took it to Customer Service and returned it for "refund" $95. They were arrested for shoplifting. Evidently the medicine works on all types of bloodsuckers.
Brittney Vanbuskirk was arrested on outstanding warrants from Mayes County. While being booked into Cherokee County a bag of meth fell out of her shirt.
Kevin Griffin was kicked out of a local bar. Outside the bar he was yelling and cursing at the bar staff. This attracted the attention of a police officer and Kevins day went from bad to worse.
Valerie James was arrested for DUI and her passenger for public intox. They had 2 cases of beer with a few missing. Two were found open under the passenger seat. During booking James yelled a lot of profanity and attempted to play the race card.
When Police stopped her Suburban Megan Irons indicated that she had not been drinking and was in fact the designated driver. She then blew a 0.14 on the State Breath Test. Megan and all of her passengers were arrested.
When Jeni Daugherty was stopped and asked if she had been drinking police say she admitted having 3 beers. The report also says when she stepped out of the car she almost fell down. The officer skipped the walk and turn test as he did not think she could attempt it safely. Jeni was arrested accused of DUI.
Aletha Rodgers recently purchased a building ( the old Dolittles Drive Thru). She went to the Police Dept. to report the refrigerator was missing the $16 copper tube that goes to the refrigerator ice maker. She did not know how long it had been missing. The report does not state if detectives made any attempt to estimate the age of any ice that may have been in the fridge.
David Johnson reported vandalism to his property. The pit bull next door keeps getting coming over to David's house to chew on the conduit drain in his backyard.
Jana Howard was stopped for doing 38 mph in a 25 zone. Jana had a suspended driver license and the wrong license plate on the vehicle. The tag on the car was out of date in 2014, when police ran a check the last tag for that car went out of date in 2013. Someone replaced a 3 year old tag with a 2 year old tag. Jana was arrested charged with no insurance, improper tag, driving under revocation and possession of marijuana.
