Deanna Dreadfulwater selected some Flea & Tick Medicine at WalMart. Not having paid for it she handed it to Christopher Houston who then took it to Customer Service and returned it for "refund" $95. They were arrested for shoplifting. Evidently the medicine works on all types of bloodsuckers.
Brittney Vanbuskirk was arrested on outstanding warrants from Mayes County. While being booked into Cherokee County a bag of meth fell out of her shirt.
Kevin Griffin was kicked out of a local bar. Outside the bar he was yelling and cursing at the bar staff. This attracted the attention of a police officer and Kevins day went from bad to worse.
Valerie James was arrested for DUI and her passenger for public intox. They had 2 cases of beer with a few missing. Two were found open under the passenger seat. During booking James yelled a lot of profanity and attempted to play the race card.
When Police stopped her Suburban Megan Irons indicated that she had not been drinking and was in fact the designated driver. She then blew a 0.14 on the State Breath Test. Megan and all of her passengers were arrested.
When Jeni Daugherty was stopped and asked if she had been drinking police say she admitted having 3 beers. The report also says when she stepped out of the car she almost fell down. The officer skipped the walk and turn test as he did not think she could attempt it safely. Jeni was arrested accused of DUI.
Aletha Rodgers recently purchased a building ( the old Dolittles Drive Thru). She went to the Police Dept. to report the refrigerator was missing the $16 copper tube that goes to the refrigerator ice maker. She did not know how long it had been missing. The report does not state if detectives made any attempt to estimate the age of any ice that may have been in the fridge.
David Johnson reported vandalism to his property. The pit bull next door keeps getting coming over to David's house to chew on the conduit drain in his backyard.
Jana Howard was stopped for doing 38 mph in a 25 zone. Jana had a suspended driver license and the wrong license plate on the vehicle. The tag on the car was out of date in 2014, when police ran a check the last tag for that car went out of date in 2013. Someone replaced a 3 year old tag with a 2 year old tag. Jana was arrested charged with no insurance, improper tag, driving under revocation and possession of marijuana.
Police responded to a call of trespassing at The Wash Barn. A dumpster diver known to leave a wake of trash behind when he dives received a final warning.
When Police responded to a domestic call at Cherokee Inn a woman answered the door and said she had argued with her boyfriend but he left. Wanda Stayathome said Dustin Duvall went home and then Police found Dustin hiding in the bathroom. They also found meth, a meth pipe and a police scanner. Both were charged with possession of CDS and paraphernalia. Wanda was also charged with Obstruction and possession of a police scanner in the commission of a felony.
Police stopped a gray Dodge pickup truck with two minors and twenty six bags of marijuana in it.
Officers found Marla Stone walking near Vinita and Allen rd. She appeared intoxicated and had blood on her arms and face. She had no apparent wounds. Police did not know where the blood came from until Ryne Moldonado drove up and told police that they had been drinking, got into an argument and she hit him with a glass cutting his forehead. Marla was arrested for public intox and Ryne for DUI.
Police responded to 1300 Nola Ave on a report that Carolyn Divers car mirror had been shot with a BB gun.
Police responded to the hospital on report of an intoxicated woman sitting on a bench. They found an intoxicated woman sitting on a bench and arrested Shelly Rodriguez- Scott who admitted to drinking vodka all day.
Police responded to a report of a woman yelling at a man at Cherokee Inn Motel. Police found Bethany Bell yelling at Eric Murphy. She would not stop and was arrested for public intox after admitting she took some pills that were not prescribed to her.
Laverne Burris reported that her ex boyfriend Gary Walker texted her on FaceBook telling her he was going to rehab and said she should go also. While good advice is not illegal, he is not supposed to be contacting her.
Linda Dale reported a her Samsung Galaxy S5 was stolen.
Natasha White was stopped and arrested for DUI. Her passenger Jessica Maness was arrested for public intox.
Jessica asked if she could at least get her purse from the car. The officer said yes and asked if she had anything in it as it would be searched at the jail. Jessica said nevermind I'll just leave it in the car. Police searched the car and the purse. jessica was charged with possession of meth.
Cherokee Nation EMS requested Police assistance at Garden Walk Apts. Police assisted in controlling a very intoxicated and aggressive Cynthia Kirkhart who was demanding to know the condition of the 17 year old male that she claimed to have saved. EMS needed her removed so the could work on the male. Kirkhart went to jail, the condition of the male is not listed in this report.
Lisa Grimes reported a man got in her car at a redlight, told her to drive, met another man, drove to Ft. Gibson Lake where the men took her two hundred dollars from her purse. She said the men told her to take her cellphone so she won't be stranded and then pushed her car in the lake.
Police found Ashton Meigs stumbling in the roadway on Muskogee Ave. Due to the officers extensive training in the art of keen observation, the officer noted that Ashton was not wearing any pants or undergarments. She was arrested for public intox.
Police found Joshua Feather lying on the ground near Club Effex. When he stood up he seemed very unsteady on his feet and it appeared that he had peed his pants. The officer asked what he was doing, Feather said he was just trying to have a good time with his girlfriend.
I wonder if he knows Ashton Meigs.
Police arrested a man at 2pm in a Church parking lot for public intox. The man refused to give his name.
FYI: One cannot make bail without a verifiable name. In the old days a public intox will land you in jail for the night. Now days I have seen people sit in the county jail for 30 days waiting for a court date.
It's not a good idea to park behind a store to smoke drugs in a stolen vehicle while you have an outstanding warrant for your arrest. Quinton Anquoe was arrested behind XPress Stop for all of the above.
Eddie and Jimmy Lightle were arrested accused of Armed Robbery and eluding after police received a call early this morning. Tahlequah Police spotted the vehicle and chased it to Ft. Gibson where they were arrested. Tahlequah Police Department thanked Cherokee Marshalls, Cherokee County, Muskogee County and Ft. Gibson Police for their assistance.
Lester Andrews was arrested accused of taking a Hat worth $14.97 from WalMart.
Jerry Taylor was riding his motorcycle on Downing St. when he lost control, swerved, hit a curb. The bike went down and Taylor slid about 30 and landed in Tahlequah City Jail accused of DUI.
Felix Pena was at the El Tigre Mexican Store when a man named Lucas told him to walk over to the dumpster. Felix was then hit over the head and went unconscious. He made this report from the ER.
