However the Court records show he was arrested on 11/11 and is being held at Cherokee County Detention Center on $40,000.00 bail bond. Clayton is charged with attempted burglary, two counts of 1st deg. burglary, burglary from an auto, KCSP, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possession of CDS, and resisting arrest.
We don't know why it was not in the standard report. We only learned of this from a Facebook post by Charlynn Dry. Here is what she had to say. -
Well, BRANDON CLAYTON finally got arrested.... Remember the alleged stolen bike that Robert Prag had stolen from him that made the front page of the "Tahlequah Daily Press" back on September 8th? Well the bike belonged to me which he (Clayton) had stolen out of one of my buildings, not to mention other things I have reported stolen or I have not noticed are gone yet.
I woke up to him standing over me watching me while I slept CREEPY!!! The police have been out numerous times and tried to catch him in the act, but he's managed to get away. He kicked in a little old ladies door (not that long ago) she is one of my renters and he never got caught for that either.
He would prey on older people as we have seen on the news. I am glad to hear that he has been taken into custody and is being held on $25,0000 bond.
The string of harassment and robberies has finally stopped and it is about time!
